A delegation from Anhui Province, China, visited the Republic of Mordovia
September 25, 2014 the delegation from the Department of Science and Technology of Anhui Provincial People's Government with Mr. LAN Yujie, the Deputy Head of the Department, visited the Republic of Mordovia. The visit took place at the invitation of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Mordovia within the framework of the Joint Working Group on cooperation in trade-economic and humanitarian fields of the Volga Federal District and the Upper, Middle reaches of the Yangtze River.
There was held a round table with the representatives of industrial enterprises of the Republic of Mordovia. It was chaired by Vladimir Mazov – Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Mordovia. He welcomed the representatives of the People's Republic of China, spoke about the current state of Mordovia business and its interest to further mutually beneficial cooperation with Chinese partners in different fields. The promising areas for further cooperation were identified.
Mordovia Development Corporation demonstrated the video presentation of the investment potential and industrial opportunities of the Republic. The event was attended by Alexander Sedov – Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry, Science and New Technologies of the Republic of Mordovia, the representatives of the management of "Technopark - Mordovia", "Optikenergo" Ltd., "Mordovvtorsyrie" Ltd., "Xenon" Ltd, JSC "MordovAgroMash", JSC "Elektrovypryamitel", JSC "Saransk Plant" Rezinotekhnika", JSC "Ardatov light-engineering plant", JSC "Kadoshkino electrotechnical plant", JSC "Saransk instrument-making plant", state unitary enterprise of the Republic of Mordovia "Lisma", "NIIIS named after A. Lodygin". The representatives of the republican enterprises made short presentations highlighting the specific areas of interest for cooperation with Chinese partners.
The delegation visited Ogarev Mordovia State University, Information-computer and Innovation-production complexes of Autonomous institution “Technopark-Mordovia”, "Optikenegro" Ltd., "Mordovvtorsyre" Ltd., JSC" MordovAgroMash "and the sites planned for future industrial parks. The delegation was accompanied by Vladimir Mazov – Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Mordovia.
Later on the delegation was received by Vladimir Sidorov – First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Mordovia. He introduced the current state of socio-economic development of Mordovia and pointed out the most actively developing sectors of economy. In his response, Mr. LAN praised the achievements of Mordovia in social and economic development and expressed willingness to cooperate.
With the participation of Mordovia Development Corporation, there were made action-oriented proposals for cooperation with Anhui province national organizations, which were reflected in the Protocol of Intent between the Ministry of economics of the Republic of Mordovia and the Department of Science and Technology of Anhui Provincial People's Government.
