A NEW FOOTBRIDGE WILL CONNECT SARANSK CITY CENTER WITH “MORDOVIA ARENA” STADIUM
Preliminary projects of a new footbridge over the Insar river were considered on the session with Mr. Vladimir Volkov, Head of the Republic of Mordovia. The new 6 meters wide footbridge will connect Sovetskaya street in Saransk city center with the new stadium and “Ubileiny” district.
A watchtower on the order of an ancient fortress symbolizing the foundation of Saransk will become the main decoration of the bridge.
Saransk is one of the host cities
of FIFA World Cup 2018. At the moment the construction “Mordovia Arena” stadium
is taking place in the capital of Mordovia. About one thousand people work on
the construction of Mordovia Arena every day.
