CHAIRMAN OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF MORDOVIA VLADIMIR SUSHKOV: “FAVORABLE CONDITIONS FOR FOREIGN INVESTORS HAVE BEEN CREATED IN MORDOVIA”
Attention of foreign countries, which want to develop mutually beneficial long-term investment cooperation, is being increasingly focused on the Republic of Mordovia.
The Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Mordovia Vladimir Sushkov hold a meeting with the representatives of business circles of Iran, who are intended to get a solid presence on the Russian market.
Mordovia attracts foreign investors offering comfortable conditions for
effective cooperation.
The Republic is one of the leaders in Russia in economic and social
development. The capital of the Republic Saransk has won the right to host the
FIFA World Cup 2018 matches that is an important factor for business
development in the region.
According to the results of sub-national research “Doing Business in Russia – 2012” conducted by the World Bank, Saransk occupied the second place in the overall rating “Doing Business” by investment attractiveness level among 30 cities – capitals of the Russian Federation regions.
Alongside with tax exemptions and other privileges for investment projects implementation investors are granted industrial sites supplied with the necessary infrastructure.
For the implementation of the most important projects there will be created free economic zone of the industrial type in the Republic of Mordovia, where tax incentives, accelerated capital allowances, the regime of free customs zone and preferential terms of land lease will be provided for residents.
Vladimir Sushkov: “Mordovia State National Research University named after N.P. Ogarev with about 26 thousand students functions in the region providing newly established productions with personnel.”
During the meeting there was reached an agreement on cooperation. In the near future the parties will develop a balanced and clearly defined road map for cooperation in the economic sphere.
The meeting was attended by Vladimir Mazov – Deputy Chairman - Minister of economics of the Republic of Mordovia.
