THE PRESIDENT OF RUSSIA VLADIMIR PUTIN CALLED MORDOVIA AMONG THE LEADING RUSSIAN REGIONS
The president of Russia Vladimir Putin took part in the VI Investment Forum "Russia Calling" organized by "VTB Capital" Bank. Main issues of the Forum were attracting foreign investors to the Russian market and increase of investment to the Economics of Russia considering the current situation and the sanctions against Russia.
Addressing the participants and guests of the forum, Putin said:
"In the coming years our challenge is to make an industrial breakthrough and create strong national manufacturing companies that can produce competitive products. Let’s point out that many Russian regions have already shown very good results in the development of processing industries.
Following the period of January - August 2014 the rate of industrial growth in some regions of Russia was over 10 percent. More and more Russian regions offer attractive investment projects. The industrial growth in Kursk and Voronezh regions was 11 percent, in Tyumen, Vladimir and Perm regions - 12 percent, in the Republic of Mordovia and Tula region - 16 percent, in Orenburg region - 16.6 percent."
